So I took a month-ish off from blogging....family vacations and whatnot...but I'm back! I have a ton of recipes to post and I just need to plug them in. In the meantime, have a great week!

Well, some exciting news! Precious has pulled through and is doing amazing! She's getting along with the rest of the litter and eating like a champ. It makes me so happy! Now to find her a forever-home to go to in a few weeks!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Not had much "picture worthy" events this week. I have made the "official" announcement that my blog is going Paleo! Spread the word!

And then there is this little girl. I'm calling her "precious." She was found in the Motorpool (army term for military vehicle parking lot...kinda) all by herself. She was so weak, she couldn't move or didn't respond to anything. She's hanging on for her dear life at the moment. I'm seeing a little improvement in her eyes, but she's still not moving much at all.

I'll keep ya'll posted on how she's doing. The next few days are critical, and I hope she pulls through.

Well, its been crazy around here. What can I say? Its SPRING! Finally!!!

Went to ANOTHER ball (the Engineer Ball)...

Did a bunch of garden work, including my "tea bird garden"

(This is before I laid all the new mulch)

But not without getting really muddy from all the rain we're getting....

My son turned 7 years old!

AAAAAAAND we got a new mommy cat with her 5 kittens

Sugar Mommy and her 5 babies: Sage, Rosemary (the girls), Tarragon, Basil and Pepper (the boys)

What's been going on with everyone else?? LOL

We had a great night...we always have fun at these balls! Come on, who doesn't love dressing up?? 

Did anyone play an April Fool's joke? I know I'm a little late with this (sorry) but I pulled this on my kids.

"Cupcakes" for dinner--and they believed me! 

They we actually meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato icing! They got a big kick out of it!

3 little kittens (only 3 days old) were brought into the shelter last week. No momma in sight. At that age, the kittens don't have much hope for survival. Luckily, the Kitten Division near us, had a momma cat that just had her babies. With the only chance we had, we took the kittens to this momma cat. The momma cat (Sally) took to the babies instantly. What a relief!

  

The next day, the real Momma cat was found and brought in. We brought the kittens to her and instantly the mom knew they were her babies. It brought tears to our eyes to see them reunited....what a sweet beginning to their lives!

We named the mommy "Morgana", the solid black girl is "Gwen", b&w boy "Arthur" and the white & grey tabby "Merlin"
