Wordless Wednesday {{linky}}

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
First, and most important...
And the memorial in 9/11s honor...
Have you seen it? I haven't had the pleasure to see it in person. Its the first thing I want to see if we ever make it to the big apple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last week was my kids' first week of school! So here are my belated pictures of their first day!
My son's favorite thing was his shoes...they are "boba fhett" (spelling?) by Stride Rite...they even light up!!
With their BFFs!
Momma gets to party now the kids are away all day... LOL
Haven't been to the East Coast, but I look for the World Trade Towers in movies (it sorts of dates them) Beautiful sweet kids, looks as though they are looking forward to school.
Your little guy looks a little unsure about the school thing in the first picture.
I grew up in Queens NY (which is 1 of the boroughs of NYC), I have been in the Twin Towers, so 9/11/01 was a very emotional time for me.
I also agree with the comment from Sukhmandir above. We just watched the 1st episode of the first season of Amazing Race and I noticed the Twin Towers in the background as they drove across the bridge.
I have never been to NY, but it is on my vacation wish list. I will surely go see the memorial while we are there.
Beautiful children. I always look forward to the children going back to school. And it definitely helps my grocery bill with 5 teenagers.
Aww, they're beauties! My son loved his new shoes too, but the strings keep coming untied and one of the teachers wrapped it around his shoe...rendering the strings useless, frayed, dirty, lol. Guess I'll have to buy shorter laces. :)
Thanks for the great photo shares!
I am a life long New Yorker, and I hate that the site is a tourist attraction, to me, there is something so wrong about the long lines wrapped around and around to 'see' it when I lived it. I worked in a hospital that took casualties at that time. I watched people walking along the highway in a daze trying to get home because transportation had been cut off and phones were cut off so you could not reach your loved ones to even know if they were OK until you all met up at home late into the evening because you had to walk for MILES upon MILES. I know you are a military wife so you get it, but it just drives me off the wall when people say they just have to see it like it's a Disney theme park attraction....
forgive my vent.....
Linked up, Happy WW! :)
Wishing the little ones a very happy, healthy and successful school year!
